Honey Bees For Sale
We have started to produce and sell Rainford Bred Honey Bee Queens and Nucleus Colonies so you too can start beekeeping!

Honey Bee Queens For Sale
Queen bees are made to order, so lead times can take upto 2 months from order.
We raise these queens at our dedicated mating apiary in Rainford, using the best of our queens from the previous year. Each queen is checked for any defects and laying pattern before being sold. There is a strictly limited supply each year (circa 50 queens max) so put your order in early to avoid disappointment.
Queens are only available between June - Oct with the first batch being started in April.
You will receive the following for the price of £36:
A marked (yellow for 2022), open mated, Queen in a slow release queen introduction cage. Queens are not clipped and we do not offer this service. If you order more than one queen, they will arrive in separate cages (along with attendant bees). Each queen comes with it's own identification card so that you can trace it's lineage.
We cannot be held liable for any failed queen introductions. Bees are wild creatures and successful introduction is never guaranteed.

Please note that a queen bee on her own cannot start a bee colony from scratch, she requires worker bees to do this. if you are wanting to start a colony then please see section below named "Nucleus of Honey Bees For Sale".

Nucleus of Honey Bees For Sale
These Nucleus colonies are made to order, so lead times can take upto 2 months from order.
Each colony will have 5-6 frames of honeycomb containing brood in all stages (minimum of 3 frames) and food, a marked queen bred in current year and the colony will be fit to expand into a full size hive straight away.
Our bees are incredibly gentle and have productive queens with an excellent lineage for temperament, disease resistance and honey production. Each queen comes with it's own identification card so that you can trace it's lineage.
There are three price options available that must be agreed with us before putting down a deposit (£50) and must be paid in full on collection of Nuc.

Collect bees in brand new 5 frame Ventilated Correx Travel Nuc (£200)

Transfer bees into your own Nuc box to take home (£170)
